Undoubtedly, you have head that Michael Richards (aka Cosmo Kramer) come under heat for using the N word. Some are saying that his career is over. But what about the Seinfeld franchise and brand? Has it been damaged? Are networks now less likely to show re-runs? Will Seinfeld DVD sales be impacted? If Jesse Jackson is successful with his boycott, it just might be. Would it have mattered if Richards had a bigger piece (if he has any piece) of the future royalties generated from Seinfeld sales?
Was this a marketing stunt just in time for Christmas at the release of the Seinfeld Season 7DVD? If so, it is clever, but pretty low.
